The evolution of educational process and opportunity.
Wellness at UWSP exists within the educational context
Stevens Point Normal opened its doors in 1894 to 300 students.

Order and sequence of the presentation is educator determined.
You had to be close enough to see the blackboard.
Class is time and space fixed.

Mostly absorption learning.

UWSP now serves ~8000 students as a major undergraduate university with a clearly stated wellness mission

The room could be bigger, based on the image magnification of the projectors.
Class is time and space fixed.
Mostly absorption
learning.

More students could be reached statewide after the university joined the Wisconsin Overlay Network for Distance Education Resources (WONDER), an audio/video system joining five state universities and four technical colleges.
Dr. Thomas George became UWSP's 12th chancellor in the fall of 1996, adopting "Leading Edge Teaching and Learning" as a guide for UWSP in the future.

WEB BASED "Hyper-text & Hyper-linked" Multimedia 
Educator may be in a different continent.
You may return to any content at will, save it to disk, link to original sources, videos, assessments, chat with world wide participants.
You select the order and sequence of the learning.
Class is asynchronous, you determine time for participation.
Learning can be more active. You feel more in control.
