Staffing

The health service is staffed with the number of professionals needed to meet the medical concerns of the student body.  

Suggested staffing pattern for a typical high quality university health service would be:

One MD for every 2000 students
Two Midlevel Clinicians for every 2000 students
One pharmacist for every 8000 students
One Medical Technologist for each 6000 students
Two Wellness Educators for each 8000 students
Two clinical support staff for each MD or midlevel clinician (LPN's or MA's)
One Information Technology Staff for each 4000 students.
Two Peer Educators for each 1000 students
One Mental Health Staff member for each 1000 students.
One Physical Therapist for each 4000 students
One dietician for each 8000 students
Three administrators for each 8000 students

One Wellness Educator for each 8000 students
One clinical support staff for each MD or midlevel clinician (LPN's or MA's)
One Information Technology Staff for each 8000 students.
One Peer Educators for each 1000 students
One Mental Health Staff member for each 2000 students.
