Activity Choices

While we expect many of the best activities will be spontaneous, certain activities need to be supervised by YMCA staff members at designated times.  To help in our planning, if you are interested in a particular activity (or want to lead one) please contact Joeli.

If your idea of an ideal activity is reading in a quiet place with a view of  the water, you're in luck.  Camp is full of many hidden porches and overlooks and your participation in any activity is completely optional.

Activity choices include:

Swimming, Boating, Fishing
Climbing Wall, Bouldering Room (>8yrs)
Arts and Crafts
Archery
Hiking, Nature Programs
Tennis, Basketball, Four-square
Soccer, Frisbee

Rainy-day activities include:

Indoor campfire
Arts and Crafts
Board Games
Indoor Games
Sauna
Any Outdoor activity with raingear!

Child care
At the risk of stating the obvious, we want you to bring your kids!  Except for the climbing program, and possibly archery, all activities are appropriate for all ages.  The Camp Becket/Chimney Corners YMCA operates a fully licensed day-care facility in the administration building 1 mile away.  High-quality child-care is available upon request.  Please contact Joeli to make arrangements.
